Episode 2

I have started a ravelry group. Find it here: Tea house Knits Podcast

Finished Objects
Engineered Seams by Judy Brien using Malabrigo Sock in the Botticelli Red colorway, US size 2, 3mm needles. I am knitting this sweater for the Yarniacs Podcast Self Indulgent KAL. I love this sweater. It is so faltering. I love how the "engineered" seams wrap around my body and the sleeves. I love the long length of the sleeves. The asymmetry of the short rows are perfectly place to draw the eye away from my problem area.

Enrejado by Kirsten Kapur using Malabrigo Silky Merino in the Cape Cod Gray colorway, US size 6 needles. It is so drappy when blocked.

Current Projects:
Georgies Blanket by Helen Stewart using Knitpicks Comfy worsted in the Ivory, Light Blue, Honeydew and Peony colorway, US size 6 needles.  I thinking about adding a darker blue color to it. It looks too pastel right now. Not the feel that I am trying to go for. I am thinking of Marlin in Comfy Worsted. I am still not sure in what order I will do the strips yet.

Boxy by Joji Locatelli using Henry's attic Prime Alpaca in the Silver colorway, US size 4 Knitpicks rainbow wood needle. This sweater practically knit itself. I already divided for the arms and it is a huge sweater. I thought I would take me months to knit this many stitches but I guess I really like stockinette. The fabric is very drappy and probably warm.

Barton Cottage Shrug by Kristi Schueler using Madelinetosh Tosh Lace in the Composition Book Gray color way, US size 2, 2.75mm needles. This one sweater is going to put on hold for a while. I think it is the yarn that I am not enjoying. It feels like thread in my hands. I am not sure if it is the fact that it is lace weight or it is because of yarn itself. I haven't knit with lace yarn for a while. And in any case, it is a discontinued yarn. It will make a good summer knitting.

Mimic by Veronika Jobe. This was my star crossed project. I cast on and ripped this out at least 4 time with 2 different yarn. A couple of time was due to gauges. Then I didn't like the fabric that it was create. When I finally decided that I like it, I realized that the ball of ripped yarn that I was knitting with was actually 2 different yarns with two very close shades of gray. Oh so sad. It is going on the time out bin for a while.

Folded by Veera Valimaki using Madelintosh Sport in Masala, US size 4 needle.

Next on the needle:
Leg warmers for my little girls.

Ready for the Frog Pond
Larch Cardigan by Amy Christoffers using Malabrigo Silky Merino in the Plum Blossom colorway, using size 3, 4 needles. I started ripping this out. It is currently waiting for its turn as I am ripping out two UFOs.

Finished Sewing:
Hoodie from the craftsy class Sewing with Knits. I used a terry cloth. It is pretty cozy.

Upcoming sewing projects
I have a few project bags that I am waiting to sew up. Right now it is on hold due to not having zippers in the right length. Here is a link of the tutorial I used to make the project bag. Sewing Tutorial - How to make a square bottom bag.

I am going to make a peacoat for my daughter in the fall. The pattern is Vogue 9043. I got the coating fabric from Pacific Fabric and Crafts
